We offer adult art classes throughout the year, usually in single-session format. Most classes are multi-level, suitable for beginners through intermediate / advanced. We partner with a number of local art teachers who each provide a unique perspective on the process of creating art.

Memories in the Making: Where Art Meets Alzheimer’s Learn how to bring the joy of creative self-expression to someone with memory loss. Memories in the Making, the Alzheimer’s Association art program for people with dementia, is a weekly one-hour art session where caregiver and loved one can take a moment to enjoy the creative release of watercolor painting. Join Tamara Allison (Vanishing Pearl) in making a Christmas Tree Pendant: stitch this Christmas pendant tree using circular peyote stitch! Then attach to a simple chain with jump rings. Join noted Graham, TX artist Kaye Franklin for her instructional class for intermediate to advanced level oil/ acrylic or pastel art students. Kaye chooses a different subject matter for each of her workshops: landscape, still life, etc. The class will begin with a two-hour instruction-intensive demonstration of the selected work for the class. Learn to create your own personal art journal. This is a great way to start documenting your thoughts, feelings or just everyday experience in an artful way. Supply fee: $15 payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. Join Rachel Liles, owner of “How Great Thou Art” painting studio, for this fun-filled all-levels class. Rachel will teach beginning to experienced students the basics of acrylic painting.
