i*ke*ba*na : noun- the art of Japanese flower arranging that emphasizes form and balance.
This traditional art form dates back to the 7th century when floral offerings were made at altars, and has grown over time to include over 1,000 different schools in Japan and abroad.

In this class you'll learn the Gutta Serti method of painting on silk. We'll also investigate using water color techniques, working with resists, and creating special effects. You'll complete a small painting by the end of class.
