The mission of the Arts Council is to nurture and strengthen the artistic, cultural, and educational quality of the community and surrounding areas.

Member Organizations

The whole is stronger than any one of us alone. Help us strengthen our nonprofit community and its citizens!

What are Member Organizations?

Member Organizations are a very important component of the Arts Council’s mission to strengthen our community. Any organization may join The Kemp for $50 per year and receive the following benefits:

•Use of the Texas Room or a classroom for 2 hours per month for meetings (during business hours and based on availability; you must book the room in advance. Meetings can be booked after hours for an additional attendant fee.)

If your organization needs a larger space for their monthly meeting, arrangements can be made to use of the Great Hall during business hours at a discounted rate.

If your organization needs audio or visual for your monthly meeting there will be an additional charge of $5 per meeting.

If your organization needs linens for your monthly meeting there will be an additional charge of $3 per linen.

•Use of the Great Hall one weeknight (Monday – Thursday) per year, free of rental charge. Event limited to 2 hours. (Other charges – attendant, security, tablecloth, setup/breakdown, clean up, etc – will still apply. Free rental cannot be used at the Forum, but nonprofits are eligible for discounted Forum rental rates.)

•Bi-Monthly Newsletter about other organizations and upcoming Member Organization events.

•Link on the Arts Council website to your organization’s website.

Additional Non-Profit Organization Benefits:

•Opportunity to purchase Arts Alive! Home & Garden Festival tickets from the Arts Council for $1.50 per ticket and pre-sell them to the public for $6.00 (a profit of $4.50 per ticket sold)

•$50 for an information table at the Arts Alive! Home & Garden Festival

•Use of The Kemp address as a mailing address

•Use of The Kemp copier: $0.09 per black and white copy, $0.25 for color copies, and fax machine at no charge (rates subject to change)

A $150 Organization Membership is available allowing the organization to meet once a month after hours without the additional attendant fee.
