Description
Students will learn to make and use their own pinhole camera to create silver gelatin photographs using found materials and natural light.
This class walks students through:
• the construction of a camera
• how to expose and develop film
• how to print film onto photo paper
• how to translate film images to digital devices for further manipulation
Attendance
The workshop fee covers the camera/printing kit for one child. One adult may accompany the child for assistance if desired, but is not required.
Supplies
All supplies are included for one child to build a camera and create photographs. However, students are encouraged to bring snacks, a printed photograph of themself or family, and a fun object they would like to include in their photograph (no larger than the size of an open hand— a small toy like a car, action figure, doll, stuffed animal, etc).
