Bo McCall: July 26 - August 20
Bo McCall is 96 years old and has been painting for about 40 years. She paints the landscape that surrounds her and scenes from the cattle ranching operation that she still manages.
"I have been a painter all my life and so I speak from experience in saying that I personally find her work has an authenticity, directness, and sometimes a naive charm that is compelling. I do not mean to diminish her work with the word “naive” I mean, rather, that it has an unaffected sincerity."
She loves the ranch, the native plants and grasses, the changing seasons, and glorious skies, and she has a profound respect for the traditions of the cowboys that come and work her cattle. These are the subjects of her paintings.
